Frankie was my second pick in this beautiful litter, but a tragic accident took his brother Cruise from us at just 3-1/2 months old. The Droels had kept three pups to grow up for a bit, and offered to let us have Frankie. We made a co-ownership agreement and brought Frankie home from the national specialty in 2001.

Frankie grew up very well, and it soon became apparent that he was going to do a lot of winning. Indeed he did, and finished in grand style -- 4 majors including 2 specialty wins, and with big accomplishments at the ABC Summer and National specialties along the way. He also won Best in the ABC Western Futurity show in February 2003.

In the field, Frankie started with a stylish scent point the first day I had him out, finished his JH easily, and placed three times in Derby field trial stakes. He points with style and intensity, loves to retrieve from land or water, and runs with increasing speed and range while being eager to please and easy to handle.

Frankie spent the summer of 2004 back in Minnesota being specialed a bit by Dawn, where he won several Bests of Breed and a Group First. 10 year old Jacob Droel showed Frankie in Junior Showmanship, and together they won 3 out of 4 times in the ring, advancing Jacob to the Open Junior class. Kids are Frankie's favorite people!

Frankie is now owned and loved by Don McNabb of Glendale, Arizona. Together they have completed Frankie's Senior Hunter title, and are now working toward Master Hunter. We wish them the very best!
