Breeders: Gordon & Carolyn Theilen Click here to view Runner's pedigree "Runner" is another joint effort between myself and Gordon Theilen. I showed Runner's dam Tubby to her Dual Championship in 2003, and was so impressed with her personality and abilities that when Gordon decided to breed her to Hank (now an ABC and Brittany Field Trial Hall of Fame inductee), I was excited to co-own the pick puppy with him. Our plan was to work together to produce another Dual Champion, and although Runner has terrific structure and movement, unfortunately he grew too tall for the show ring. He competes in the field as an excellent young All Age prospect, as two of his sisters continue the Dual legacy, both now show champions with field trial points. Runner's 5-generation pedigree boasts 15 appearances of American Brittany Club Hall of Fame members, and many more are behind that. There are one or more Dual Champions in every generation of his background. His sire Hank had 4 placements in ABC National Championship stakes, and was Runner-Up three of those times. Hank died in late 2003 at the age of 13-1/2, and this litter was accomplished with frozen semen. Runner is a smart, bold young dog who takes after his parents with an easygoing temperament that knows how to turn it on when he gets to the field! He had a successful juvenile field trial career, showing a lot of early speed, strength, and independence. He is pointed in Puppy and Derby stakes, and is now running in the hotly competitive midwest All Age circuit with trainer Ed Tillson. Runner won his first Championship stake placement his second time out with Ed, qualified for the 2007 National Championship, and has multiple All Age placements to date.
