1/22/2010: Not to be outdone by her littermates, Hybrittin's PartyNaked "Dinah" (Shadow x Taryn) owned by Judy Cohen & Jessica Carlson won 1st in Open Derby at Sunland Brittany Club in New Mexico for her first 2 field points. It was an awesome performance you would have had to see to believe! Dinah's brother Tripp also placed 4th in the Open Derby stake and running a second time that day, placed 2nd in Amateur Walking Derby as well! 1/12/2010: The ABC Western Futurity is a success for Taryn's kids as Tristyn wins 1st Money Female & Best of Opposite Sex in the futurity show, and places 4th in the All Age stake to also make her the Dual Award winner! Tripp placed 2nd in the Gun Dog stake too! 1/3/2010: The new year starts off well as Tule wins another Open Derby 1st, and Skye wins 2nd in Open Gun Dog for 2 points at Sahuaro Brittany Club in Arizona! 11/8/09: Finished the trial season with good results for our "kids" at Midwest Brittany Club in Eureka, KS. 3: Alar's Tango Bar owned by Katherine Thompson placed 3rd out of 30 in Open Gun Dog. 2: Hybrittin's PartyNaked "Dinah" (Shadow x Taryn) owned by Judy Cohen & Jessica Carlson placed 2nd out of 17 in Open Derby. 1: Oops On A Double Tequila Night "Ginger" (Larry x Libby) owned by Katy & Jason Gill topped off her Puppy career by winning 1st place for her Puppy points! Congratulations to all, and thanks to trainer & handler, Ed Tillson. 10/31/09: Congratulations to owner Katherine Thompson on Alar's Tango Bar, "Tango" (Smokey x Halley) winning another 22-dog Open Gun Dog stake at Sooner Brittany Club for her second 4-point win of the season! 10/21/09: Taryn marks her 25th hour stake placement in a great way - 1st place at the Greater St. Louis Brittany Club OLAA hour (31 starters). 10/17/09: Another terrific weekend at the Southern Kansas Brittany Club in Eureka, KS. Shadow & Taryn's tri girl Tristyn won the 14 dog Open Derby stake to earn her Derby points! Ged's Alar Lady Liberty "Libby" (Dancer x Halley) owned by Ryan Geddie & Jessica Carlson won the 29 dog Open Gun Dog stake for 5 points towards her Field Championship! And Libby's daughter, Oops On A Double Tequila Night, "Ginger" owned by Katy & Jason Gill got another 2nd place in Open Puppy. Congratulations to everyone! All these dogs were trained & handled by Ed Tillson. 10/11/09: We've had a busy couple of weeks! Libby's pups Taz & Ginger placed 1st & 3rd out of 19 in Open Puppy at the Missouri Brittany Club trial last weekend, giving Taz his Puppy points. Tristyn earned her first field trial placement in a 25 dog Open Derby stake. Taryn continues to add to her hour win record with #24, 3rd place in the Region 17 Amateur All Age Championship stake at Neosho Valley Brittany Club. More to come, we hope! 9/20/09: A great start to our fall field trial season at Ringneck Brittany Club in South Dakota. Alar's Tango Bar "Tango" (Smokey x Halley) owned by Katherine Thompson won 1st in Open Gun Dog out of 23 starters for 4 points towards her Field Championship! Ged's Alar Lady Liberty "Libby" (Dancer x Halley) owned by Ryan Geddie & Jessica Carlson placed 3rd in the same stake -- good going for Halley's girls! Libby's son JJ's Tasmanian Devil "Taz" owned by Joe Williams & Jenny Ro placed 4th out of 20 in the Open Puppy stake at his first field trial. And finally, my very own Tullamore With A Twist "Tule" (Shadow x Taryn) won the 20 dog Open Derby stake on her first try for her Derby points! These dogs were all trained & handled by Ed Tillson.
4/19/09: A great weekend for the kids as Tripp and Tule win both Puppy stakes at the Missouri Valley Brittany Club trial to earn their puppy points! 4/5/09: Ran my buddy Blizzard (FC/AFC TJ's Prairie Blizzard) in a blizzard at the Iowa Brittany Club trial and won the Amateur All Age stake, completing his qualification for the 2009 National Amateur Championship! Blizzard is bred, owned & trained by Ed Tillson.
3/1/09: Taryn wraps up a trip to Texas with her 4th and 5th consecutive hour wins: 4th in the Bluebonnet Open All Age hour stake, and Runner-Up in the Texas Amateur All Age Championship! 2/18/09: Another amazing day as Taryn reaches her 20th hour win, and third Championship title in a row at the Texas Open Championship in Ardmore Oklahoma, over 35 starters. Way to go little girl!! Photo at left. 2/8/09: Taryn earns her 19th hour win and fourth Championship title at the Region 8 Amateur All Age Championship (Dub Emde Challenge) in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was handled by me with thanks to scout, Tom Milam. 1/18/09: A great weekend at the Sunland field trial in New Mexico as Taryn wins 1st in Amateur All Age, Tiger wins 1st in Open Derby (handled by Ed Tillson) to earn her Derby points, then Taryn also wins the New Mexico OAA Championship for her 18th hour win!  11/30/08:

Brittany breed history by becoming the first Dual Champion bitch to
ever win Best of
Breed at the ABC National Specialty Show!!!!! It has been almost 30 years since a Field Champion won our national
specialty. We are beyond thrilled that our little girl has made this
amazing achievement, especially after having had such a terrific year
in the field as well! Thanks to Amy Booth for showing Taryn in the
final lineup while I stayed on a client dog Chance,
who also won Best of Winners!
10/25/08: Taryn earned her 17th hour stake placement, 1st at the Central Arkansas Brittany Club Open Limited All Age in Grovespring, Missouri! Taryn finished the year #2 in national standings for hour All Age Brittanys - see the 2008 Purina Award Results 9/26/08: A terrific day for our team! Skye won Best of Winners at the Iowa Specialty Show for a 4 point major to finish her show championship. Taryn placed 3rd in the ABC Pheasant Classic in Bonesteel, South Dakota out of 58 starters. 9/19/08: Taryn has a terrific start in her first trial of the season & after having her puppies -- earning her 15th hour win and 4th Runner-Up Championship at one of the biggest and most demanding championships in the country, the American Brittany Club Prairie Chicken Classic in Bassett, Nebraska, with 75 starters!  7/11/08:
Another DUAL CHAMPION in the family!! DC
Almaden's River of Shadows (shown at left) won a big 5-point
show major in San Antonio, TX to complete his Dual Championship in
grand style! Many thanks go to John Kline, Ed Tillson, and Clint Livingston
for their contributions to River's titles.
5/23/08: Alar's Steel Shadow (Dancer x Halley) finished his Australian Show Championship with another Best of Breed win. 5/17/08: Taryn has 7 puppies by NFC/FC/AFC Shambo's Dark Shadow -- 2 white/orange males, 1 liver/white male, 2 orange/white females, 1 liver/white female, 1 tricolor female.
