Dog Show Handling
I began showing in conformation and Junior Showmanship in 1987, and later worked for professional show handlers for 3 years, learning to train, groom, and show dogs of many breeds in all of the AKC Groups. I have handled dogs to multiple Group and Specialty wins and have been proud to finish many Champions, including putting most or all of the show points on 16 Dual Champion Brittanys. I have enjoyed many terrific wins at American Brittany Club National Specialty shows in the past 15 years, and look forward to more!
I spend most of my time traveling to shows & field trials throughout the Western & Midwestern states. I show just a few times during spring and fall field trial season, but from late April through mid-July I show every week in several states. I compete at most of the American Brittany Club events including the National Specialty, Summer Specialty (most years), and some of the Futurities. One of my main goals is to promote the Dual Champion Brittany, so I am always looking for great field trial dogs to show; but I have finished Brittanys (as well as other breeds) from various backgrounds.
