Breeders: Dawn & Joe Droel Click here to view Halley's pedigree My mother had long waited for a Chase daughter, and when Chelsea passed she decided the time had finally come. An accidental breeding of Chase's son Junior to the very beautiful Classy produced 5 daughters, and we decided to take a chance on a Chase granddaughter. We named her for Halley's Comet. Halley did well in the field, scent pointing from the first time I ever had her out. On natural ability, she finished her Junior Hunter title easily and placed in her first Derby field trial stake in 2002. Halley was green broke in the field by Sheldon Twer. She was a great bird dog, and learned to be steady to wing and shot, but my schedule and priorities precluded her from competing in adult stakes. She became my all-time best "puppy educator" in the field. The rest of the time she was Queen Bee at home. Halley had a fabulous, steady and calm temperament and proved herself to be an excellent producer of intelligent, biddable, hard-working and bird loving Dual quality Brittanys. Halley's first litter, by (later FC/AFC) KB's Shadow-Dancer, was born September 25, 2005 and her second litter by DC/AFC Redlines Tequila Smoker was born September 5, 2006. She had one Dual Champion out of each litter; see below for her winning offspring. We are very thankful for all that Halley gave us in her 13 years, and for the qualities we can still see in her descendents today! See a list of Halley's accomplishments below.
